Сегодня я решила поделиться с вами своими мыслями насчет блога и блоггинга в целом, выводами, которые я смогла сделать для себя за год его ведения, планами на будущее и изменениями.

Today I decided to share with you some thoughts on blogging in general and my own blog in particular, write down some conclusions that I was able to draw after more than a year of this blog's existence. I would also like to tell you a little bit about my plans for the future considering this topic and changes that I've made and plan on continuing to implant.

Я завела блог в мае прошлого года, совершенно спонтанно, просто в какой-то момент договорилась с подругами об импровизированной фотосессии, села за компьютер и написала первый пост. Моей первоначальной задумкой был блог о стиле, не о моде, а именно о стиле, и появление меня самой в нем на самом деле не ожидалось:)
Я всегда восхищалась людьми с превосходным чувством стиля, не гламурной, ни о чем не задумывающейся модой, не навязывании из сезона в сезона людям рамок того, что можно или нельзя носить (что приводит к вывалювающимся из заниженных джинсов боков, просвечивающимся леггинсам на, мягко говоря, помпушках, висящим животам из-под коротеньких топиков и многим другим ужасам, которые можно лицезреть на улицах, кажется, всего мира), а именно внутренним, гармоничным, подходящим именно этому определенному человеку стилем одежды, внешнего вида в целом, стилем жизни, поведения.

I strarted this blog last year, in May, it was totally spontaneous, at some point I just decided I wanted it, talked to my girlfriends to set up an improvised photoshoot, got in front of a computer and wrote my first post. The original idea was to blog about style, no fashion but style, and it wasn't actually planned for you to see myself in it:)
I´ve always admired people who have their own inner sense of style, no the glamorous thoughtless fashion, not the imposing upon the consumers some limits and frames about what to wear or what not to wear (which in the end leads us to tons of badly dressed people on the streets with low rised jeans and large bellies on top of them, transparent leggins on some big girls, crop tops worn without thinking of what they show below), but the inner balanced style that suits this very person, his o her whole presence, lifestyle, behaviour.

Мне хотелось фотографировать людей на улицах, знакомых, у которых это чувство и гармония, как мне кажется, есть. Но моя жизнь изменилась, этим же летом я переехала в Испанию, навалились другие проблемы, появились новые возможности и пропали предыдущие, благодаря этому в блоге стала появляться я сама :) Не знаю, как к этому отнеслись мои немногочисленные читатели, но я сама со временем поняла, что и это тоже не совсем то, что я хотела бы видеть в своем блоге. Я не считаю себя образцом стиля никоим разом, наверное не всегда знаю, что мне подходит, а что не совсем, не обладаю модельной фигурой, которой нужно обладать для рекламы тех или иных вещей (а ведь именно к этому сводится деятельность многих известных блоггерш), никогда не пробовала составить образ для кого-то другого. Я просто стараюсь одевать того человека, которого вижу перед зеркалом, по возможности удобно, стильно и не очень дорого, а главное, скрывая имеющиеся недостатки. Люблю продумывать образ, но не всегда, иногда мне совершенно плевать и я могу выйти из дома в чем попало, если нет времени или самочувствие не на высоте. Люблю новые покупки, процесс примерки, но ненавижу, когда не могу найти в современных магазинах какую-то простую, классическую вещь, не люблю выбирать вещи, которые мне найти тяжело, например, джинсы. Люблю одежду, но быстро поняла, что не готова посвящать только ей свое личное пространство в виде блога, ведь это лишь одна маленькая незначительная сторона жизни.

I wanted to take pictures of people in the streets, some acquaintances that, to my mind, have this sense of style and harmony. But my life changed, that summer I moved to Spain, some other problems got in the way, some new opportunities appeared and some old ones vanished, that´s why I started posting myself in here:) I don´t really know what my not numerous readers thought at that moment but I gradually understood that this  is not exactly what I actually would like to see on my blog either. I by no means consider myself a style example to follow, I guess I don´t always know what really suits me and what doesn't, I don't have a perfect body shape that in the end is necesarry if you have a fashion blog in order to be a model for the clothes and fashion brands. I just try to dress the person that I see in the mirror, if possible, in a comfortable, stylish and not expensive way, and more importantly, in a way that would hide the flaws. I like to think my oufit through but not always, sometimes I can go out wearing whatever, I don´t care, don´t have time or feel a little under the weather. I like buying new clothes, the process of trying them on, but I hate it when I can´t find a simple classic item in any store or choosing some items that are difficult for me to find, like jeans, for example. I like clothes, like most women, but I understood fast enough that I´m not ready to dedicate my personal space, y blog, to clothes only, in the end it´s such a small and trivial part of our lives.

И теперь об изменениях. Все вышесказанное не значит, что я коренным образом меняю направление блога. В нем по-прежнему будут появляться вдохновляющие меня люди, идеи, изредка мои собственные образы, если я ими останусь полностью довольна. Часть блога будет посвящена одежде и стилю, красивым мелочам. Но я не фэшн-блоггер, я не могу, да и не хочу скупать тоннами вещи, которые мне не нужны, неудобные туфли, которые не смогу носить (несколько пар из Зары уже украшают шкаф), бежать за чем-то, чем я не явлюсь, поклоняться миру, который зачастую кажется фальшивым и напыщенным.

 And now a little bit about changes. With all that I said before it does not mean that I´m changing my blog utterly and completely. I would still like to post some outfit ideas, inspiring people, rarely my own outfits, if it´s something that I´m in love with, not just something to put here because I have to post at least something. A part of this blog will still be dedicated to clothes, style and beautiful details. But only a part. I am not a fashion blogger, I´m not ready to buy tons of clothes that I don´t need, uncomfortable shoes that I won´t be able to wear (a couple of them from Zara already serve as a decoration of my closet), I don´t want to run after something that I´m not and worship the world that sometimes seems so phony and pretentios.

Если бы мне, например, дали на выбор, на что потратить деньги: на одежду или на путешествия, я бы без сомнения выбрала второе. А в последнее время я и вообще постоянно засматриваюсь, например, на красивые элементы интерьера. В целом, мне бы хотелось видеть здесь то, что в англозычном мире называется lifestyle blog, то есть блог о стиле жизни, в котором собрано все то, что вдохновляет и является частью жизни его автора. Поэтому отныне вы увидите здесь больше ненавязчивых рецептов, рекомендаций, любимых мною фотографов, мнений о фильмах, книгах, искусстве или театре (в разделе "Books, movies and art"), иностранных языках, отчетов или фотографий из путешествий, а иногда и просто вот такой как сегодня "дневниковой прозы".

If I was given a choice, for example, what to spend money on: clothes or traveling, I would choose the second without any doubt. And recently I´ve also felt drawn to beautiful interior elements as well. All in all, I would like to make a lifestyle blog, a blog about its owner´s life that would gather everything inspiring and positive. So from now on you´ll probably be able to see more unobtrusive recipes, recommendations, my beloved photographers, books, movies, theater plays (in "Books, movies and art" tab), maybe something about foreign languages, my own pictures from the trips I make or sometimes some thoughts like today.

Очень хочется сделать блог искреннее, проще и насыщеннее, чтобы нам с вами было на его страницах одинаково интересно. Я буду очень рада пообщаться с вами в комментариях, обсудить ту или иную тему, ведь все-таки большáя часть блоггинга заключается в обмене мнениями и идеями, в общении, новых знакомствах и знаниях. Надеюсь, вы не останетесь равнодушными, а я продолжу вкладывать усилия и любовь в это маленькое интернет-пространство. До новых встреч и спасибо тем, кто дочитал до конца этот длиннющий пост!)

P.S.: К слову о моде, не так давно я увидела вот это видео и оно оказалось мне так близко,  показалось таким трогательным и правдивым, что я невольно прослезилась, но совсем почему-то не грустными слезами. Очень советую его к просмотру без каких-либо лишних слов.

 I´m really eager to make this blog more sincere, simpler, richer, create an atmosphere that would be interesting not only for me but for you too. I would love to communicate with you in the comments below the posts, talk about one topic or another, as I believe that a big part of blogging is interacting, interchanging ideas and thoughts, in communication, new acquaintances and knowledge. P.S.: Speaking about fashion, I found this video not so long ago and it felt so close, touching and truthful to me that I cried but my tears were not sad. I highly recommend it to you without any further words.

My TOP 10 favorite TV shows

Вместо привычных уже постов сегодня я хочу вам рассказать о своих любимых сериалах. Возможно, большинство из них вас не удивят, потому что я не буду оригинальна и многие из них признаны и любимы большим количеством людей. Тем лучше. Оставлю в стороне совсем старенькие, сосредоточившись на более современных (за одним, первым исключением, ибо по-другому не могу;) Итак, начнем:

Instead of the usual posts today I wanted to tell you about my favorite TV shows. Probably most of you won´t be surprised by some choices, as you might have seen and loved many of them, but well, in that case it´s even better because it proves them to be really good. I´ll leave apart the oldies and concentrate on the modern ones (with one exception, I can´t help it;) So, let´s start:

En vez de los posts de siempre hoy os quería hablar sobre mis series favoritas. Es probable que muchas de ellas no os sorprendan, no voy a ser original, pero no pasa nada, eso comprueba otra vez que son muy buenas y están reconocidas por mucha gente. Dejaré aparte las viejunas del todo y me concentraré en las más o menos modernas (con una excepción, como no;) Bueno, empecemos:

1. Sex and the City

Мой первый выбор наверняка был наиболее предсказуем:) Как и многие его почитатели, я могу сказать, что это наверное единственный сериал, который я могу пересматривать бесчисленное количество раз, попадаю ли я на него по телевизору, пересматриваю ли его полностью в н-ный раз или успеваю на маленький кусочек, когда смотрит кто-то другой. Без сомнения, лучший способ проникнуться всем шармом, очарованием, юмором, красотой и искрометностью героев - посмотреть его в оригинале, чего всем советую. Конечно, многие мужчины, в том числе и мой, если таковые попадут на мой блог, сейчас фыркнут и перелистают ниже с мыслью о "бабской" мыльной опере. Но в тысячный раз я не соглашусь, ибо кроме очевидного, бросающегося в глаза названия, каждая серия наполнена смыслом, глубиной, потрясающей игрой актеров и очень интересными мыслями. Best. Show. Ever.

My first choice was probably the most predictable:) Like many of its fans I must admit that it´s probably the one and only TV show that I can watch countless times, no matter if I catch a bit on TV, when somebody else is watching it or re-watch it all over again. Without any doubt, the best way to grasp all the characters' charm,enchantment, humor, beauty and brightness is to watch it in English, so I highly recommend you that. Of course, many men, including mine, if some of them stop by my blog, will snort and scroll down thinking "oh, not this soap opera again". But for a thousand time I can not agree with that, as, apart from the evident, catchy title, each episode is full of meaning, depth, amazing acting and very interesting thoughts. Best. Show. Ever.

Mi primera elección probablemente es la más previsible:) Como muchos otros aficionados tengo que confesar que es tal vez la única serie que puedo ver una cantidad infinita de veces, no importa si la pillo por la tele o mientras alguien más la está viendo o la reveo otra vez desde el principio. Sin duda la mejor manera de apreciar todo el encanto, el humor, la belleza y la chispa de los personajes es viéndola en original, así que os recomiendo hacerlo. Por supuesto, muchos hombres, incluyendo el mío, si algunos de ellos se pasan por mi blog, al ver esta serie en la lista inmediatamente querrán pasar más abajo pensando algo como "otra vez ese culebrón". Pero por milésima vez no podría asentir, ya que, aparte de un título evidente que se echa a la vista, cada episodio está lleno de sentido, profundidad, increíble interpretación y unas ideas muy interesantes. Best. Show. Ever.

2. Game of Thrones

Здесь наверняка тоже не удивила. Кому еще незнаком этот многосерийный фильм или не менее многосерийные книги, спешите! Когда мне посоветовали его после выхода первого сезона, я недоверчиво сморщила нос и отложила на потом. И только сев со мной на диван для совместного просмотра, my other half, заставив меня однажды, пристрастил меня, кажется, навсегда. Я, не ярый поклонник фантастики, драконов и несуществующих стран (Гарри Поттер не в счет:), была покорена этим совершенно невероятным миром, созданным Джорджем Мартином, этими сильнейшеми персонажами, поразительной актерской игрой, великолепными костюмами, английским, который, как музыка, не давал мне отвлечься ни на минуту, в ожидании нового "aye" (в переводе "да", почему-то это слово меня в себя просто влюбило). Прямо сейчас каждую неделю на канале HBO выходят серии четвертого сезона.

Here I mustn't have surprised you either. If you still aren't familiar with this multi-episode show and not much less multiple books, hurry up! When I first got an advice to watch it after the first season aired, I crinkled my nose and left it for later. And only by once making me sit with him for watching it together, my other half, made me addicted to it forever, as it seems. I'm not a fan of fantasy, dragons and non-existing countries (Harry Potter doesn't count:) but this time I was truly amazed by this incredible world created by George Martin, these strong characters and their personalities, marvelous acting and costumes, their English, that didn't let me be distracted even for a minute waiting for the next "aye" (don't know why but I fell in love with this word). Right now every week another episode of the fourth season airs on HBO.

Seguro que aquí tampoco os he sorprendido mucho. Si todavía no conocéis esta serie y los libros, ¡daos prisa! Cuando me aconsejaron verla después de que salió la primera temporada, fruncí la nariz y la dejé para más adelante. Y solo después de sentarse conmigo para verla juntos, my other half, con hacerlo una vez me enganchó a ella creo que para siempre. No soy una fan de ciencia ficción o fantasía, dragones y países inexistenes (Harry Potter no cuenta;), pero me sentí totalmente conquistada por ese increíble mundo creado por George Martin, sus fuertes personajes, maravilloso trabajo de los actores, precioso vestuario, inglés que no me dejaba distraer ni por un minuto esperando al siguiente "aye" (se traduce como "sí", no sé por qué pero me enamoré de esa palabra). Ahora mismo cada semana sale un nuevo episodio de la cuarta temporada en HBO.

3. Modern Family

Наверное мало есть более противополжных сериалов, чем этот и предыдущий, но от этого ни один из них не страдает. Серии по 20 минут, рассказывающие о жизни вот этой большой семьи, в течение которых вам обеспечена несходящая с лица улыбка и искренний смех. Кажется, ни один сериал еще не заставлял меня так смеяться. Сейчас выходят серии пятого сезона. Как и всегда, по возможности рекомендую смотреть в оригинале, т.к. шутки - дело тонкое.

Probably there are few series more opposite than this one and the previous one, but that doesn´t make any of them worse. Episodes just 20 minutes length that tell a story of this hilarious big family that lives in Califaronia will make you laugh sincerely and smile constantly. Seems to me that it´s one of the few tv series that have made me laugh so hard. Episodes of the fifth season air now and I assure you they haven´t got worse. As usual, if you have a chance, I urge you to watch it in English as we all now sometimes it´s really hard to translate jokes.

Seguramente hay pocas series más opuestas como ésta y la anterior pero no por ello pierde ninguna de ellas. Los episodios duran sólo 20 minutos y cuentan la vida de esta familia grande y graciosa que vive en California y os aseguro que una sonrisa constante y una risa sincera no os dejarán durante este tiempo. Creo que es una de las pocas series que me ha hecho reirme tanto. Ahora salen los episodios de la quinta temporada y os prometo que no han empeorado. Como siempre, si tenéis la posibildad, os recomiendo verla en original ya que, como sabéis, bromas son una cosa difícil de traducir.

4. Homeland

Хотите не спать несколько дней (или недель), бежать домой, забыв про окружающих и заботы, чтобы только посмотреть, что же будет дальше?? Тогда вы по адресу, это именно такой сериал. Иногда я очень жалела, что это сериал, а не фильм, потому что жизнь состредотачивается на нем просто на все 100, а потом жалела, что он закончился, ведь чем же я теперь займусь?? В центре сюжета находятся сержант морской пехоты ВМФ США Николас Броуди, вернувшийся домой после восьми лет отсутствия без вести в Ираке, и Кэрри Мэтисон, офицер ЦРУ, которая подозревает его в причастности к подготовке террористической атаки на Америку. Кто же прав? Общественность, ЦРУ, Броуди или Кэрри? Что скрывает каждый из них? В этом году на экраны выйдет уже четвертый сезон, а сериал остается все таким же непредсказуемым и заставляющим вас, как говорится, собирать челюсть со стола.

Do you want not to be able to sleep various days (or weeks), to run home forgetting everybody and everything just to see what will happen next?? You want it, you get it, this show is just what the doctor ordered. Sometimes I was upset it wasn't a movie but a TV series because it becomes the center of your life and attention but then I was upset it ended because what I was going to do afterwards?? The series stars Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a Central Intelligence Agency officer with bipolar disorder, and Damian Lewis as Nicholas Brody, a United States Marine Corps Scout Sniper. Mathison has come to believe that Brody, who was held captive by al-Qaeda as a prisoner of war, was "turned" by the enemy and now threatens the United States. So, who's right and who's wrong? The society, the CIA, Brody or Carrie? What secret does each of them have? This year the fourth season will air on Showtime and the show still stays as unpredictable and jaw-dropping as ever.

¿Os apetece no poder dormir varios días (o semanas) e ir corriendo a casa olvidándoos de todo el mundo sólo para ver qué pasa después? Pues aquí está, esta serie es justo lo que recetó el médico. A veces me me enojaba que no era una película, sino una serie, ya que automáticamente se convierte en el centro de tu vida y atención pero luego me daba lástima que terminaba porque ¿qué iba a hacer después? La serie está protagonizada por Claire Danes como Carrie Mathison, una agente de la Agencia Central de Inteligencia que ha llegado a creer que un marine estadounidense, que fue hecho prisionero de guerra de Al-Qaeda, se convirtió en el enemigo y ahora representa un riesgo significativo para la seguridad nacional. ¿Quién tiene razón? ¿La sociedad, la CIA, Brody o Carrie? ¿Qué secretos guarda cada uno? Este año va a salir ya la quinta temporada de la serie y sigue siendo igual de impredecible y nos deja con la boca abierta al final de cada temporada.

5. Sherlock

Шерлока тоже наверняка смотрели очень многие. Если вы все еще его не видели, настоятельно советую. Но не ждите от этого многосерийного фильма точной экранизации книг Конан Дойля. Здесь, в 21 веке социопат Шерлок Холмс создает неповторимый тандем с бывшим военным врачом Ватсоном, который начинает вести блог об их невероятных приключениях и о сверх меры одаренном Шерлоке, у которого есть не менее одаренный брат из правительства Великобритании. Его память — это жесткий диск, который хранит огромное количество информации. Шерлок саркастичен, обаятелен и невозможно умен, его низкий голос и харизматичная улыбка запомнятся надолго, приключения не оставят вас равнодушными, а современные технологии делают сериал невероятно стильным. Ждем четвертого сезона!

I'm sure many of you have also watched Sherlock. If not, I highly recommend you to. But don't expect it to be an exact film version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's books. Here, in the XXI century, a sociopath Sherlock Holmes creates an unforgettable tandem with a retired military doctor Watson, who starts to write a blog about their incredible adventures and highly gifted Sherlock, who has an equally (or even more) gifted brother in the government of Great Britain. His memory is a hard drive that stores uncountable ammount of information. Sherlock is sarcastic, charming and extremely intellectual, his  deep voice and charismatic smile won´t leave you indifferent and modern technologies make this film series extremely stylish. Waiting for the fourth season, ladies and gentlemen!

Seguro que muchos de vosotros ya habéis visto Sherlock. Si no, ¡os lo recomiendo mucho! Pero no esperéis que va a ser una adaptación a pie de la letra de las obras de Conan Doyle. Aquí, en el siglo XXI el sociopata Sherlock Holmes crea un inolvidable tándem con el ex-médico militar doctor Watson, que empieza a llevar un blog sobre sus aventuras y el superdotado Sherlock que tiene un hermano en el gobierno de Gran Bretaña sin duda igual de superdotado (o más). Su memoria es como un disco duro donde guarda una interminable cantidad de información. Sherlock es sarcástico, encantador y increíblemente inteligente, su voz baja y sonrisa carismática os hará recordarlo para mucho tiempo y sus aventuras no os dejarán indefirentes. Además, las tecnologías modernas le dan mucho estilo a la serie. ¡Esperando la cuarta temporada ya, señores y señoras!

6. The Bridge

Этот сериал с Дианой Крюгер и мексиканцем Демианом Беширом - ремейк одноименного шведско-датского 2010 года. Тем не менее мне, не смотревшей последний, очень сложно себе представить, хорош ли он или нет, ведь американский "Мост" затрагивает давно наболевшую тему - эмиграцию мексиканцев в Америку, из приграничного печально известного города Хуарес в американский Эль Пасо, которые соединяет мост через реку Рио-Гранде. Весь мир шокировали убийства женщин в Сьюдад-Хуаресе, число жертв которых с 1993 г. составило более 370 человек, и это, к сожалению, не фикция. В сериале мы погружаемся в мир персонажей-полицейских, странноватой американки Сони Кросс с тяжелым прошлым и мексиканца Марко Руиса, работающих по разные стороны моста, но вдруг объединенных одним загадочным делом - посредине того самого моста, прямо на границе было найдено тело американской женщины-судьи, известного ведением дел, касающихся эмигрантов. Невозможно оторваться от экрана.

This show with Diane Kruger and Demián Bichir from Mexico is an American remake of the 2010 Danish/Swedish TV series. However, for me it´s actually a little hard to imagine what the last one is like because the American "Bridge" touches upon one of the most sensitive subjects - emigration of Mexicans to the United States from the sadly famous city of Juarez right by the border into the American El Paso, which are connected by the bridge over the river Rio Grande. The whole world was shocked to hear about mass murders of women in Juarez, the number of which reached 370 and this is, unfortunately, not fiction. In this series we are immersed into the world of two policemen, a slighlty strange Sonya Cross with a hard background and a Mexican Marco Ruiz. They work on 2 different sides of the bridge but suddenly find themselves united by one case. In the middle of that bridge, right on the border line a body of an American judge was found. She was famous for dealing with cases about Mexican immigrants. The story really keeps you hooked.

Esta serie con la alemana Diane Kruger y el mexicano Demián Bichir es el remake estadounidense de la serie danesa/sueca del 2010. Sin embargo, a mí la verdad es que me parece un poco difícil imaginarme cómo es la última porque "The Bridge" americano toca uno de los temas más sensibles - la emigración de los mexicanos a los Estados Unidos de la tristemente conocida ciudad de Juárez que está justo al lado de la frontera con los Estados Unidos, al lado de El Paso. Y las dos ciudades están conectadas por el puente que atraviesa el Río Grande. A todo el mundo le chocó la noticia que hablaba de las muertes de mujeres en Juárez, el número de las cuales llegó a 370. Y esto, por desgracia, no es ficción. En la serie nos sumergimos en el mundo de dos policías: la americana Sonya Cross un poco extraña por su complicado pasado y el mexicano Marco Ruiz. Trabajan en los diferentes lados del puente pero de repente se tiene que unir por el mismo caso que tienen que investigar cuando encuentran el cuerpo de una jueza estadounidense que era famosa por llevar casos de inmigrantes mexicanos y lo encuentran justo en la línea de frontera en el puente. La verdad es que esa historia os mantiene muy enganchados.

Во второй части списка другие 4, объединенные одним небольшим НО... Все четыре оригинальны и неповторимы по-своему, но на мой взгляд, имеют одну и ту же проблему. Пробуждая неподдельный интерес вначале, в последнее время их авторы.... то ли не знают, что делать дальше, то ли просто немного затягивают. Может я и ошибаюсь, в общем, в любом случае очень рекомендую:

In the second part of this list the rest 4 are placed. Why? Because they´re all united by one tiny BUT... They´re all very original and special, each in its own way, but, in my opinion, they have the same problem. While in the beginning you really feel excited and hooked, recently their authors seem a little... running out of ideas or making them little slow, I don´t know. Maybe I´m mistaken, so, anyway, here they are:

En la segunda parte de la lista vienen otras 4 series. ¿Por qué? En mi opinión están las 4 unidas por un "pero"... Todas son muy originales y especiales, cada una de su propia manera pero creo que tienen el mismo problema. Al principio son super interesantes y te enganchan muy rápido pero últimamente sus autores parece que o se les están agotando las ideas o simplemente las hacen más lentas, no sé. A lo mejor incluso me equivoco, así que de todas maneras, aquí las tenéis:

7. Nurse Jackie

 
Эди Фалко, уже знакомая многим по сериалу "Сопрано" играет в "Сестре Джеки" заботливую и профессиональную медсестру, для которой работа - призвание, а дома ее ждет красивый заботливый муж и две милых дочки. Все бы ничего, только со стрессовой работой и проблемами в семье Джеки справляется викодином и другими препаратами ради которых (хотя может и не только ради них, она и сама не знат) крутит роман с больничным фармацевтом. Сейчас выходит уже седьмой сезон сериала, и первые шесть были искрометны, интересны (серии по 20 минут) и полны юмора (порой черного), но в седьмом начинается складываться ощущение, что фантазия у авторов иссякает... Может я и не права, посмотрим, ведь вышло всего 3 новых серии.

Edie Falco, who is probably familiar too those who´ve seen the Sopranos, is a caring and proffesional nurse in "Nurse Jackie", whose job is her vocation and at home her beautiful and not less caring husband and two little girls are waiting for her. It would be a very beautiful story if Jackie wasn´t a drug addict who fights stress at work and at home with vicodin and other stuff for which she sleeps with her hospital´s farmacist (or maybe not only for this reason, she doesn´t even know herself). The seventh season is coming out now and I gotta say, the first six were brilliant! Interesting, gripping (episodes last only 20 minutes), full of humour (sometimes black humour), but in the seventh it starts to seem the their imagination is falling apart a bit... Maybe I´m mistaken, we´ll see as only 3 episodes have come out.

Edie Falco a la que probablemente conocen los que hayan visto los Sopranos en "Nurse Jackie" hace de una enfermera muy comprensiva, cariñosa y profesional para la que su trabajo es una vocación y en casa la espera un marido guapo y dos hijas monas. Podría ser una historia muy bonita si no fuera porque Jackie es adicta a las drogas, vence el estrés con vicodina y otras medicinas y para obtenerlas se acuesta con el farmacéutico de su hospital (o a lo mejor no sólo para eso, no lo sabe ni ella). Está saliend la séptima temporada ya, las primeras seis eran muy interesantes, apasionantes (los episodios solo duran 20 minutos), y llenas de humor (a veces un pelín negro), pero en la séptima empieza a parecer que a los autores les falla un poco la imaginación. A lo mejor me equivoco, ya veremos, ya que todavía han salido solo 3 episodios.

8. New Girl

Несомненно, звезда этого сериала - несравненная Зоуи Дешанель со своими невероятными синими глазами, заводной улыбкой, чудесными волосами, девушка с голливодской внешностью, которая не боится и умеет быть очень смешной! Ее героиня Джесс так похожа на девушку из соседнего двора: веселая, смешная, в чем-то талантливая, в чем-то совершенно нет, со своими проблемами и странностями, Джесс начинает снимать квартиру (лофт) с тремя друзьями, знающими друг друга много лет. Ее подруга - удивительной красоты модель Сиси тоже частенько проводит время с подругой, неизменно привлекая взгляды всех окружающих мужчин. Комедия с короткими сериями по 20 минут может стать достойной заменой "Американской Семейке" (Modern Family), когда та уже просмотрена.

Without any doubt the star of this show is Zooey Deschanel with her gorgeous blue eyes, contagious smile, beautiful hair. A girl who looks like a Hollywood star but isn´t afraid to be funny and knows how to be one! Her character Jess is like a girl next door: funny, cheerful, talented at one things and helpless at  another, with her own problems and strange things. Jess starts to rent a room in a loft with three other guys who have known each other for years. Her friend, an astonishingly beautiful model Cece is also around a lot, always atracting all men´s attention. This comedy with short 20 minutes each episodes is a good supplement for Modern Family if you have already seen it.

Sin duda ninguna la estrella de esta serie es Zooey Deschanel con sus inreíbles ojazos azules, sonrisa contagiosa y pelo maravilloso. ¡Una chica que lo tiene todo parecer una diva de Hollywood pero que sabe ser graciosa y no tiene miedo de serlo! Su personaje Jess podría ser perfectamente la vecina de al lado de cada uno: graciosa, divertida, talentosa en unas cosas y totalmente inútil en otras, con sus propios problemas y cosas extrañas. Jess empieza a alquilar una habitación en un loft con otros tres chicos que se conocen desde hace mucho. Su amiga, la increiblemente bella modelo Cece pasa mucho tiempo con ella también, siempre atrayendo toda la atención de los tíos. La comedia con los episodios cortos (cada uno de 20 minutos) es un muy buen suplemento de Modern Family si ya la habéis visto.

9. Grey´s Anatomy

Если бы я писала этот пост несколько лет назад, вы бы наверняка увидели этот сериал в начале списка. Но сейчас, когда на экраны выходит уже десятый сезон, и многие из полюбившихся героев наплевали, не дождавшись конца, и ушли, рука не поднимается туда его поставить. Тем не менее, его первые (штук 6!) сезонов - пример одного из таких сериалов, которые ни за что не переключишь, если увидишь по телевизору. Если вы любите медицинскую тематику, переплетенную с судьбами и мыслями главных героев, вам сюда. Отличные персонажи, актерская игра, неожиданные концовки сезонов, в общем, переживания обеспечены! Хотя, не буду отрицать, сериал наверное больше для женской части населения (особенно любящей посопливить при просмотре).

If I was writing this post a couple of years ago you would probably see this show in the top. But now when the tenth season is coming out and many of my favorite actors have quit, I can´t put it there. Anyway, the first (6 or 7!!) seasons are the example of the show that you would never switch off if you see it on TV. If you like tv series about hospitals and surgeries mixed with the lives and thought of their characters, this one is right up your alley. Great characters, acting, cast, unexpected endings, all in all, it'll give you strong emotions. However, I won't deny that this show is more for women (especially for those who like to have a box of tissues at hand while watching a movie;).

Si estuviera escribiendo este post hace unos años esta serie probablemente estaría entre las primeras. Sin embargo, ahora que están en la séptima temporada y muchos de mis personajes favoritos ya no existen, no puedo ponerla allí. De todas maneras, las primeras (6 o 7!) temporadas eran increíbles, un ejemplo de la serie que nunca cambiarías si la vieras por la tele. Si os gustan las series sobre hospitales y operaciones, ligadas con las vidas y los pensamientos de los personajes esta serie os encantará. Los personajes son buenísimos, los actores, por supuesto, también, las temporadas tienen unas finales inesperadas, así que sí, os aseguro unas emociones a tope. Lo único, no voy a negar el hecho de que esta serie es mucho más para mujeres que para hombres (sobre todo para las que nos gusta llorar durante una peli;).

10. Under the Dome

В конце списка решила все-таки поставить именно "Под куполом", многосерийный фильм по одноименной книге Стивена Кинга, для которого он же стал и сценаристом. Тем не менее, если вы читали книгу, не ждите схожести, кроме главной идеи здесь все по-другому, но менно так, вероятно, решил создатель. Съемки сериала, по словам Википедии, проходят в Уилмингтоне, Северной Каролине, городе, занимающем особое место в моей душе, ведь там я провела лето 2007 года, работая по Work&Travel...:)  Ну не о моей ностальгии речь. Сериал рассказывает историю жителей небольшого городка Честерс-Милл, который одним обычным днем был внезапно отрезан от остального мира невидимым силовым барьером. Самолеты врезаются в купол и падают, пылая, с небес; люди, выехавшие в соседний город по делам, не могут вернуться к своим близким; автомобили взрываются от столкновения с куполом. Никто не понимает, что это за барьер, откуда он взялся и исчезнет ли он. Что же будут делать герои? Загадочный и интересный сериал, хотя и есть свои недостатки, например, некоторые герои и, кажется, не на 100% продуманные ситуации. Тем не менее, думаю, что фильм стоит вашего времени. Этим летом должен выйти второй сезон.

In the end of this list I finally decided to put "Under the Dome", a science fiction drama tv series which is based on the Steven King´s novel of the same name. Steven King also wrote a screenplay for this series. However, if you read a book, don´t expect that it would be alike because, apart from the main idea, everything is different here but probably exactly as the writer decided. According to Wikipedia the show is being shot in Wilmington, North Carolina, a city that has a special place in my heart, as I spent there the summer of 2007 working thanks to Work and Travel program. Well, let´s leave my nostalgia apart and go back to the show. It tells the story of the residents of the small town of Chester's Mill, where a massive, transparent, indestructible dome suddenly cuts them off from the rest of the world. Airplanes bump into the dome and fall down, people who were going trough this town can´t leave it and join their families, cars explode bumping into the barrier. They have no internet or mobile signals and nobody knows what to do, what is that dome, why it is there and what will happen next. So what will the people inside do? Mysterious and interesting show, although it has its own disadvantages, like for example some characters or situations that seem not so well thought over. However, I think this show is worse your attention. This summer the second season is going to come out.

Para terminar esta lista finalmente decidí poner "Bajo la cúpula", una serie de ciencia ficción basada en la novela de Steven King del mismo nombre. Steven King mismo escribió el guión para esta serie. Sin embargo, si habéis leído el libro no esperéis muchas semejanzas. Aparte de la idea principal es casi todo diferente, aunque probablemente justo como quería el escritor. Según Wikipedia la serie la están grabando en Wilmington, Carolina del Norte, ciudad que ocupa un sitio especial en mi corazón, ya que pasé allí el verano de 2007 trabajando en el programa Work and Travel. Pero bueno, dejemos mi añoranza por los viejos tiempos y volvamos a la serie. Narra la historia de los ciudadanos de Chester´s Mill, una ciudad pequeña y tranquila, cuando de repente encima de ella cae una cúpula invisible e inpenetrable y toda la gente queda atrapada. Los aviones y los coches se chocan con ella y se destruyen, la gente que pasaba por la ciudad no puede volver a sus familias ni seguir adelante. No tienen internet o señal de móvil y nadie sabe qué hacer, qué significa esta cúpula, por qué está allí y qué pasará después. ¿Qué hará la gente bajo la cúpula? Una serie misteriosa e interesante, aunque también tiene sus desventajas, como por ejemplo algunos personajes o situaciones que no parecen muy bien pensadas. Sin embargo, creo que merece vuestra atención. Este verano va a salir la segunda temporada.

Hi, guys!! After a short break I´m back on the blog. Before leaving to Catalonia I promised to share some of the best pictures and impressions that I would get. And here they are! It was definitely a good trip, full of new experiences and warmth of the encounter with my mom and my friend from the uni. It was my second time in Barcelona and apart from all the Gaudi architecture that stroke me the first time, now I came back from there with a wider perspective of that city and definitely with a better impression.

Hola, chicos! Después de una pequeña pausa estoy de vuelta en el blog. Antes de ir a Cataluña os prometí que compartiría con vosotros las mejores fotos e impresiones. ¡Aquí están! Sin duda, ha sido un buen viaje, lleno de nuevas experiencias y calidez del encuentro con mi mamá y mi amiga de la uni. Fue mi segunda vez en Barcelona y, aparte de las obras de Gaudí que me asombraron la primera vez, ahora he venido de allí con una mayor perspectiva de la ciudad y definitivamente con una mejor impresión.

The first day my friend Anna took me to the Ciutadella park, where I hadn´t been. It reminded me of Retiro in Madrid a lot. That day there was a local holiday called La Mercé, which is the annual festival of the city of Barcelona, so there were tons of people everywhere.

El primer día mi amiga Ana me llevó al parque Ciutadella, en el que no había estado antes. Me recordó mucho el Retiro de Madrid. Aquel día en Barcelona tuvo lugar una fiesta anual, el día la Merced, por eso había un montón de gente por todos lados.

Walking around I saw once again some of the most amazing buildings in the world that leave no person indifferent: Casa Milá, Casa Batlló (and Sagrada Familia, although this time I don´t have any decent pictures of it), Antonio Gaudí´s works. By the way, did you know that Gaudí died because he was struck by the first passing tram in Barcelona and due to his shabby clothes and lack of identity documents wasn´t recognised at first and didn´t recieve immediate treatment?

Paseando por Barcelona vi de nuevo unos de los más bonitos edificios del mundo que no dejan a nadie indiferente: Casa Milá y Casa Batlló (y Sagrada Familia, aunque esta vez no tengo ninguna foto decente de este milagro), las obras de Antonio Gaudí. Por cierto, sabíais que Gaudí murió atropellado por el primer tranvía que hubo en Barcelona y por su ropa vieja y descuidad y falta de documentos de identidad no fue reconocido al principio y por ello no recibió la ayuda necesaria?

Unlike the first time in Barcelona, this time I got to see the Magic Fountain of Montjuic which that day was accompanied by the annual fireworks on the Mercé day.

A diferencia de mi primer viaje a Barcelona, esta vez pude ver La Fuente Mágica de Montjuic, que ese día fue acompañada con los fuegos artificiales por el día de La Merced.

I absolutely loved the fact that Barcelona is a city of bicycles (which I did not see the first time I was there). Bicycle roads are everywhere and a lot of people ride them through even the most wide and crowded streets of Barcelona cuz there´s always a two direction road for them.

Me encantó el hecho de que Barcelona es la ciudad de los ciclistas (la primera vez no lo noté). Los carriles de bicis están por todos lados y la gente va en bici incluso por las calles más anchas y concurridas, ya que siempre hay un carril de dos sentidos para ellos.

La Casa Bruno Cuadros, which used to be an umbrella shop of Barcelona, is located on La Rambla, the street always full of life and people (and a little weird at night, you know what I mean :), La Rambla has very interesting buldings in store for the visitors of the city.

La Casa Bruno Cuadros, la antigua tienda de paraguas en Barcelona, está en La Rambla, una calle que siempre está llena de gente y vida (y es un pelín rara por la noche, sabéis a qué me refiero:). La Rambla tiene muchos edificios interesantes para los visitantes de la ciudad.

I also got the chance to visit the famous Barcelona´s market La Boquería, which has a huge variety of products to satisfy any craving and also some really unusual ones. I mean, what in the world is this?

Y, por supuesto, los mimos! Siempre allí, normalmente sin moverse hasta que les tires una moneda. A éste sonriente le encontramos junto al monumento de Colón.

 

 

Except the first two and the last one, we stayed the rest of the days in Blanes, occasionally travelling to another places that you´ll se after. Blanes is a small town packed with tourists, especially Russians. It´s fine to stay at, we swam almost every day as the weather was more than kind to us at that time of the year. However, being so touristic I think Blanes kind of lost its identity (maybe I´m not right but still), I didn´t feel like I was in Spain there at all. Being at the beach was like old times at the Black Sea, where we used to go on vacation when I was a kid. Without boiled corn and sweets that local people offer though, only massage from some random asian woman:). Here you have some pictures of that town (including a lock on the rock which some Russian couple hung there as the symbol of their love, you know the story:).

Кроме первых двух и последнего дней остальные мы провели в Бланесе, иногда путешествуя в другие места, которые вы увидите позже. Бланес - это маленький городок, полный туристов, особенно русских. Хорошее место для отпуска, мы купались каждый день, так как погода была к нам более чем добра в это время года. Однако, будучи таким туристическим городом, мне показалось, что Бланес потерял свое я (может, я, конечно, и не права, но все же), там я не чувствовала себя в Испании. Отдых на пляже напоминал старые времена у Черного моря, куда мы ездили, когда я была маленькой. Хотя и без вареной кукурузы и сладостей, продаваемых местными на пляже,  ходила только одна азиатская женщина, предлагавшая массаж:). Вот несколько фотографий этого городка (включая замочек на горе, который повесила какая-то русская пара в знак вечной любви, ну вы знаете:).

Aparte de los primeros dos y del último día los demás los pasamos en Blanes, a veces viajando a otros sitios que veréis adelante. Blanes es un pueblo pequeño, lleno de turistas, especialmente rusos. Buen sitio para quedarse de vacaciones, nos bañamos cada día ya que el tiempo estaba muy cariñoso con nosotras, sobre todo en esta temporada ya. Sin embargo, siendo tan turístico, me pareció que Blanes había perdido su identidad (aunque a lo mejor me equivoco), pero de todas maneras no me sentía allí en España. El descanso en la playa parecía los viejos tiempos en la orilla del Mar Negro, adonde ibamos cuando era pequeña. Aunque sin maíz cocido y dulces que solían ofrecer allí los locales, sólo vi a una mujer asiática ofreciendo masaje:). Aquí tenéis algunas fotos de ese pueblo (incluyendo el candado en la roca, que una pareja rusa había colgado allí como símbolo de su amor eterno, ya os sabéis la historia:).

 

One of the trips that we (my mom and I) made was to a truly breathtaking place, an abbey Santa María de Montserrat on the mountain of Montserrat (which means "saw mountain"). The church that you can see in the pictures hosts a figure of "La Moreneta",  the black Virgin of Montserrat (which is said to be black due to the change of colour because of the candle smoke or a chemical reaction). Legend has it that the Benedictine monks could not move the statue to construct their monastery choosing to instead build around it. And it is now a site of pilgrimage.

Одна из поездок, которые мы совершили, была в действительно захватывающее место, монастырь Монсеррат на горе Монсеррат (что означает "распиленная гора"). В соборе, который вы видите на фотографиях, находится черная фигура Девы Марии Монсеррат, "Смуглянки", как ее называют местные. (Говорят, что фигура потемнела из-за дыма от свечей или химической реакции). По легенде Бенедиктинские монахи не могли сдвинуть с места статую Девы Марии, чтобы построить монастырь, и решили построить его вокруг нее. Сейчас это место паломничества великого множества людей со всего света.

Uno de los viajes que emprendimos fue a un lugar realmente impactante, monasterio Montserrat en la montaña de Montserrat (que significa "una montaña serrada"). En el monasterio, que podéis ver en las fotos, se halla la figura de " La Moreneta", la Virgen negra de Montserrat (dicen que se hizo negra por el cambio de color provocado por el humo de las velas o una reacción química). La leyenda dice que los monjes Benedictinos no pudieron mover la estatua para construir su monasterio y por ello decidieron construirlo alrededor de la misma. Ahora es el lugar de peregrinación de muchas personas de todo el mundo.

Probablemente la mejor foto que le saqué a mi mamá:) Estuvimos en Gerona, una ciudad que me enamoró. Es increíblemente bella! Si estáis en Barcelona, os la recomiendo, está cerquita!

I could upload hundreds of pictures from Girona and still they would not transmit all the beauty of this medieval town. Stone walls, antique buildings, little bridges and stairs, gardens, tiny cafés and shops. Would love just to take a slow walk there or sit on a bench and contemplate the beauty. Here´s a couple of pictures.

Я бы могла выложить сотни фотографий Жироны и все равно они бы не передали всю красоту этого средневекового города. Каменные стены, старинные здания, маленькие мостики и лестницы, сады, небольшие кафешки и магазинчики. С удовольствием бы провела там несколько дней, неспешно прогуливаясь и наслаждаясь красотой, сидя на лавочке. Вот вам пара фотокарточек.

Podría haber subido cientos de fotos de Gerona y no conseguiría transmitiros toda la belleza de esta ciudad medieval. Paredes de piedra, edificios antiguos, bonitos puentes y escaleras, jardines, pequeñas cafeterías y tiendas. Qué bien estaría pasear tranquilamente por allí o estar sentada en un banco contemplando la belleza. Aquí tenéis un par de fotos.

This is a thing that I would not understand ever haha. These are traditional figurines. The name of the figurine "El Caganer” literally means "the shitter". Traditionally, the figurine is depicted as a peasant, wearing the traditional Catalan red cap and with his trousers down, and defecating. It´s common mostly in Catalonia, but also in some other parts of Spain (but sincerely it was the first time I saw them and in that quantities). It is usually put in the nativity scenes on Christmas and is said to bring luck. Nowadays, as you can see, there´s a whole lot of people who are represented as caganers: artists, singers, politics, queens and kings and even La Moreneta, the Virgin of Montserrat which I talked about earlier.

 Эта вещь, которую я наверное никогда не смогла бы понять хаха Эта традиционная фигурка под названием "el caganer" переводится на русский буквально как "серун". По обыкновению фигурка изображается как сельский испражняющийся мальчик в традиционной каталонской красной шапочке со спущенными штанами. Фигурка традиционна по большей части в Каталонии, но и также в некоторых других частях Испании (хотя, честно говоря, я видела их первый раз, да еще и в таких количествах). Обычно серуна ставят в рождественских вертепах, и говорят, что он приносит удачу. Сейчас, как вы можете видеть, огромное количество популярных людей изображают в виде серунов: артисты, певцы, политики, короли и королевы и даже черная Дева Мария "Ла Моренета", про которую я рассказывала ранее, созданы в виде этих фигурок.

Ésta es una cosa que nunca podría entender jaja Es un figurín tradicional que se llama "el caganer" o "el cagón". Tradicionalmente el figurín es representado como un niño campesino que lleva un gorro rojo tradicional catalán, con los pantalones bajados, cagando. Al parecer, es común mayoritariamente en Cataluña, pero también en algunas otras partes de España (aunque sinceramente yo los vi por primera vez, además en esas cantidades). Normalmente el caganer se pone en los belenes y dicen que trae suerte. Ahora, como podéis observar, se hacen figurines de mogollón de gente famosa: artistas, cantante, políticos, reyes y reinas y hasta "La Moreneta", la Virgen de Montserrat, de la que hablé antes.

One of the biggest impressions that I bring back with me from Catalonia is them and their story, Salvador Dalí and Gala. I´de never been that fond of his works due to my ignorance in the subject of the surrealism and lack of knowledge about his personal life. Now I would like to tell you even just a little bit about this phenomenon, so as you maybe feel as inspired as I did there.
Gala´s real name was Elena and she was Russian, from Kazan. Her mother used to call her Galochka, Galchonok, a name that she afterwards converted in Galá (stressing it on the second syllable). When she was 17 she was sent to a sanatorium in Switzerland and there she met a French poet Paul Eluard, whom she later married and had a child with, a daughter, although as it seems she never had a real relationship with her daughter and never really wanted to be a mother. Gala was not beautiful but stayed in a great shape for her whole life and was said to attract men a lot. Even when she was old she had young lovers. In 1929 when Gala was 35 she and her husband came to Catalonia to meet Dalí and from that time on she became Dalí´s muse and inspiration till her very death. Right after they met she said to him: "we will never be apart, my boy". To say that they were extravagant is to say the least. They also had extramarital affairs and other stuff alike. But the paintings of Dalí are full of Gala, his words were: "(i)t is mostly with your blood, Gala, that I paint my pictures".

Надо признать, раньше я никогда не была особо рьяным поклонником творчества Дали из-за непонимания сюрреализма и незнания его жизни и творческого пути. Теперь я бы хотела поделиться с вами хотя бы совсем немногим об этом феномене, чтобы, возможно, вы почувствовали такое же вдвохновение как я.
Настоящее имя Галы было Елена, родилась она в Казани. Ее мама называла ее Галочкой, Галчонком, имя, которое затем превратилось в Галá, с ударением на последний слог на французский манер. Когда ей было 17, она заболела туберкулезом и родители отправили ее на лечение в Швейцарию, где она познакомилась с молодым французским поэтом Полем Элюаром, за которого впоследствии вышла замуж, и от которого родила дочь (хотя, кажется, с ней у Гала никогда не было настоящих отношений и матерью она быть не хотела). Гала была некрасива по традиционным канонам красоты, но обладала чем-то иным, что притягивало к ней множество мужчин. Даже в старости у нее были молодые любовники. В 1929 году, когда Гала было 35, она и ее муж поехали в Каталонию, чтобы познакомиться с молодым Дали, и с этого момента она стала музой и вдохновением Дали до самой ее смерти.  Una de las impresiones más grandes que me traigo de Cataluña son ellosy su historia, Salvador Dalí y Gala. Para decir la verdad, yo nunca había sido una aficionada de sus obras por no entender bien el surrealismo y desconocer su trayecto artístico y su vida personal. Ahora querría compartir con vosotros incluso un poco de este fenómeno para que tal vez os sentáis tan inspirados como yo.
El nombre real de Gala fue Elena y nació en Rusia, en la ciudad de Kazan. Su madre la llamaba Galochka, Galchonok, nombre que luego se transformó en Galá, con acento en la última sílaba a la manera francesa. Cuando tenía 17 años, se enfermó de tuberculosis y fue enviada a un sanatorio a Suiza. Allí conoció al poeta joven francés Paul Eluard, con el que se casó y tuva una hija, aunque al parecer nunca había tenido una verdadera relación con ella, negándose a ser madre. Gala no era guapa, al menos según los canones de belleza tradicionales, sin embargo, tenía algo más, algo que atraía a muchos hombres. En 1929, cuando Gala tenía 35 años, ella y su marido vinieron a Cataluña para conocer al joven Dalí y desde entonces se convirtió en su musa e inspiración hasta su muerte. En seguida después de conocerle le dijo a Dalí: "nunca vamos a estar aparte, mi niño". Decir que eran extravagantes es decir poco. Hasta tenían relaciones extramatrimoniales, sin embargo, nada pudo influir en su increíble vínculo. Las obras de Dalí están llenas de Gala, sus palabras fueron: "es con tu sangre, Gala, que pinto mis cuadros".

Dalí was born (1904) and buried (1989) in Figueres, where I had the chance to be. Already senile, realising that death was inevitable, he decided to create a museum-theatre in his native land, which inspired him and drew him back wherever he was. So, that is where a lot of his works are kept and his crypt is. The location is across the street from the church of Sant Pere, where he had his baptism, first communion, and funeral, and is three blocks from the house where he was born. Dalí created a lot of surreal, extravagant, strange and beautiful things during his life. Apart from works of art he also had a lot of different collaborations. For example, did you know that it was he who created the Chupa-chups logo? (Chupa-chups is a Spanish brand).

Уже в преклонном возрасте, осознавая, что смерть неизбежна, он решил создать музей-театр, в своих родных местах, вдохновлявших и тянувших его всю жизнь, где бы он ни находился. Там хранится огромное количество его работ и там же его склеп. Находится музей прямо напротив церкви Sant Pere, места, где он был крещен, где проходило его первое причастие и его похороны, и за три квартала от места, где он родился. Дали создал огромное количество сюрреалистичных, экстравагантных, странных и красивых вещей на протяжении своей жизни. Кроме художественных работ, он участвовал во множестве других совместных проектов. Например, вы знали, что Дали изобрел лого Чупа-Чупса? (Чупа-чупс - испанская марка).

Dalí nació (1904) y fue sepultado (1989) en Figueres, donde tuve la suerte de estar. Ya mayor, entendiendo que la muerte era inevitable, Dalí decidió crear un museo-teatro, en sus tierras nativas, que le inspiraban y llamaban toda su vida, independientemente de donde estaba. Allí se guarda gran cantidad de sus obras y allí está su cripta. El museo está situado justo enfrente de la iglesia Sant Pere, sitio donde fue bautizado, donde pasó su primera comunión y su funeral, y a tres bloques desde el sitio de su nacimiento. Dalí creó una enorme cantidad de cosas surrealistas, extravagantes, raras y bonitas a lo largo de su vida. Aparte de las obras artísticas, participó en muchísimas otras colaboraciones. Por ejemplo, sabíais que inventó el logo de Chupa-Chups? (Chupa-chups es una marca española).

 Dali experimented with optical tricks and produced astonishing images which played with perspective and challenged visitors to see the same image in radically different ways. For example, this one: Gala Contemplating the Mediterranean Sea Which at Twenty Meters Becomes the Portrait of Abraham Lincoln. It is located in his theatre-museum.

Дали экспериментировал с оптическими трюками и создавал поразительные картины, которые играли с перспективой и заставляли зрителей видеть одно и то же изображение в совершенно разных видах. Например, это: Гала созерцает Средиземное море, которое на расстоянии в двадцать метров превращается в портрет Авраама Линкольна. Картина находится в его театре-музее.

Dalí experimentaba con los trucos ópticos y creaba unos cuadros extraordinarios que jugaban con la perspectiva y desafiaban a los visitantes a ver una imagen de maneras enteramente diferentes. Por ejemplo, este: Gala mirando el mar Mediterráneo que, a una distancia de 20 metros, se transforma en el retrato de Abraham Lincoln. El cuadro está en su teatro-museo.

Gala died before Dalí, in 1982, aged 87, and that affected Dalí deeply, he lost much of his will to live, living in the castle of Pubol, his present to Gala, where she lived alone (and accepted it from him on one condition: that Salvador Dalí would come only when she sent a personal invitation to him) and is buried. The castle is preserved as it was when Gala was alive and she decorated it as she pleased not letting Dalí put a lot of his creativity into it. The visit to the castle also had a great impression on me.

Гала умерла раньше Дали, в 1982 году, в возрасте 87 лет, и это потрясло Дали и имело на него огромное влияние, он потерял желание к жизни, живя взаперти в замке в Пуболе, замке, который он подарил Гала, где она проживала одна (и приняла этот подарок с одним условием: Дали не разрешалось приезжать туда без ее личного приглашения) и там же она похоронена. Замок сохранен в таком же виде, в котором был при жизни его хозяйки и декорирован он был ею, по ее собственному вкусу, она не позволила Дали вложить в это свою креативность. Посещение замка также произвело на меня большое впечатление.

Gala murió antes que Dalí, en 1982, a los 87 años, y eso afectó increíblemente a Dalí, él perdió casi todo su deseo de vivir y crear, viviendo encerrado en el castillo en Pubol, su regalo a Gala, donde antes vivía ella sola (con haber aceptado ese regalo con una condición: que Dalí solo vendría cuando ella le mandara una invitación privada) y allí está enterrada. El castillo lo guardan tal como estaba cuando estaba viva su dueña y está decorado de acuerdo con su gusto, ya que no le dejó a Dalí poner mucha de su creatividad en él. La visita al castillo también tuvo una gran impresión en mí.

Gala´s dresses are guarded at her castle in Pubol, some of them are from the best designers known, the emboridery on some was designed by Dalí himself.

Los vestidos de Gala también se guardan en su castillo en Pubol, algunos son de los mejores diseñadores existentes, el estampado de otros fue creado por Dalí mismo.

And finally I wanted to end the post with this picture, which is actually the ceiling in one of the rooms of the Theatre-Museum of Dalí in Figueres. It represents Gala and Salvador united in heaven, together somewhere there.
