С появлением интернета, социальных сетей, блогов, а недавно и инстаграма нам стала доступна информация об огромном количестве талантливых людей со всех уголков света. Уже около года я неустанно слежу за вот такими невероятными людьми, занимающимися разными видами творчества. Для кого-то это стало профессией, кто-то просто творит в свободное время, но от этого впечатление смотрящих и читающих не меняется. Многие из таких людей из России базируются в Москве. Цветочные мастерские, фотографы, блоггеры, владельцы маленьких уютных магазинчиков украшений или посуды, иллюстраторы, организаторы свадеб, все они привносят в повседневную жизнь немного волшебства. Но ведь такие талантливые и настоящие люди теперь уже есть не только в столице, но и в других городах нашей огромной страны. Должна сказать, что мне дает огромное вдохновение видеть людей, которые делают что-то сами, ищут новые пути в работе и творчестве, создают что-то из ничего.

After internet, social networks, blogs and instagram appeared we got an access to a huge amount of information about many talented people all over the globe. For almost a year I´ve been following such incredible people involved in different spheres of creativity. For some it´s a job, some just create beauty in their spare time but this fact doesn´t alter the impression. Many of these people are based in Moscow. Flower shops, photographers, bloggers, owners of small and cozy shops that sell jewelry or cookware, illustrators, wedding planners, all of them bring a little magic to our everyday lives. But such talented and real people don´t only live in the capital but also in other different parts of my huge country. I have to say, it gives me a huge boost of inspiration to see people who create something themselves, try new ways of doing things, make something out of nothing.

Сегодня я хотела бы начать рубрику, которая, надеюсь, не застрянет на первом посте, и будет дарить вам вдохновение, тепло и поводы для размышлений. Рубрика будет называться «Chatting with…”, то есть «Разговаривая с...», и в ней вы найдете интервью с вдохновляющими, талантливыми и самореализующимися людьми. Начать, конечно же, я хотела бы с моего родного города. И сегодня я вам представляю «Разговор с... Екатериной Шабановой», совладелицей Фабрики Декора «Спасибо» (оформляющей волшебные свадьбы и яркие праздники в Воронеже, ставшей одной из первых в своем роде), «Фотобудки» (интересного проекта для фотографий) и магазина комиксов «Деликатесы», которым она заправляет вместе со своим мужем. Да, да, Катя в свои 25 лет занимается всем этим, да еще и вышла замуж и уже родила чудесного маленького мальчика Степку! Не правда ли, интересно узнать, как у нее это все получается?) Не буду больше вас томить, вперед!

Today I wanted to start another new column that hopefully will not end after the first post and will give you inspiration, warmth and food for thinking. The column is going to be called “Chatting with…” and you´ll find interviews with inspirational, talented people who try to fulfill themselves in life. And I would like to start with my own city. Today I´m presenting you a chat with Ekaterina Shabanova, co-owner of a decorating agency “Spasibo” (“Thank you”), (which decorates magical weddings and bright parties in Voronezh and that has definitely become one of the first ones in this business in my city), “Fotobudka” (“Photo booth”) (interesting project for taking pictures) and the first comic store in Voronezh “Delikatesi” (Delicacy comics) which she owns with her husband. Yes, Katya at the age of 25 does all that and, moreover, she is already married and has a little baby boy Stepan! It´s really exciting to learn how she pulls it all off, isn´t it? I won´t keep you waiting any longer, let´s go!

Кать, мы с тобой познакомились в университете на языковом факультете. Каким образом ты пришла от изучения языков к созданию Фабрики Декора «Спасибо»?

Пришла просто. Всегда хотела заниматься именно декором (особенно интерьеров), но на семейном совете было решено, что профессию лучше получить «женскую классическую», отсюда и ргф! Идея декора меня не оставляла, я сама изучала журналы, блоги, читала книги. Потом устроилась по специальности, но как только вышла замуж, поняла, что декор свадеб — это то, чем я была бы рада заниматься! Тем более столько нереализованных идей осталось после собственной свадьбы. Марина (партнер по Фабрике Декора «Спасибо») тоже уволилась из офисной работы, и мы решили замутить фабрику вместе. :)

Katya, we met at the university where we both were studying foreign languages. How did you go from studying languages to the creation of your design agency "Spasibo" ("Thank you")?

It was easy. I´ve always wanted to dedicate myself to design (especially interior design) but when time came my family decided that it would be better to choose a classic feminine profession, that´s why I got to that faculty. But the idea of decoration did not leave me, I'd been reading magazines, blogs, books about it. As soon as I graduated I started working according to the obtained degree but then, after getting married I realized that wedding decoration was something that I would love to do. Besides, a lot of unfulfilled ideas remained after my own wedding. Marina (my partner at the design agency "Spasibo") had quit her office job as well, and we decided to start this project together.

 Что по твоему мнению самое сложное и самое легкое в вашей работе в Фабрике Декора «Спасибо»?

Легко было влиться, ведь декораторская работа для меня — работа мечты, читать, изучать, разглядывать крутые свадьбы было жутко интересно. Ну а сложно, конечно, собрать вокруг себя надёжную команду, построить правильно работу — всё-таки в отличие от многих других творческих профессий, у нас есть чёткий дед-Лайн. Нельзя перенести сроки или не успеть. Тем более это такое важное событие!

In your opinion what is the easiest and the most difficult part of your job in "Spasibo"?

It was easy to blend in, for me working in decoration is a dream job, reading, studying and looking at amazing weddings was extremely interesting. But it was certainly difficult to gather a reliable team, organize all the work correctly, after all, unlike in other creative jobs we have a strict dead line. There is no way we can postpone the dates or run out of time. Moreover, it´s such an important event!

В Фабрике Декора уже большая команда сотрудников?

Начинали мы с Мариной вдвоем, без какой-либо помощи, осенью 2012го. Но 2013 стал для нас уже первым полноценным годом работы, полным заказов. Самый загруженный сезон, конечно, летом, и именно тогда нам требуется как можно больше помощи. С нами работали 8 человек, все талантливые, внимательные и отзывчивые девочки.

Is there a big team in your decoration agency already?

Marina and I started together, just the two of us without any help in autumn of 2012. But 2013 already became a year of fully functional work, full of orders. Without doubt the most loaded season is in summer, it´s at that time when we need as much help as possible. 8 people already worked with us, all talented, attentive and outgoing girls.

Каковы плюсы и минусы в работе декоратора, особенно в Воронеже?  

Свадебный рынок резиновый, поэтому плюсы — потребность в нём всегда :) люди всегда женятся :) А минус, наверно, в сезонности работы. Зимой особо не разгуляешься :)

What are the advantages and disadvantages of working as a decorator, especially in Voronezh?

Wedding market is immense, that´s why the biggest advantage is that there´s always a demand. People always get married. And a disadvantage is probably the seasonal character of this job. In winter there´s not much to do.

Теперь о другом интересном проекте, о магазине комиксов «Деликатесы». Как появилась идея его создания?

Мой муж Саша хотел открыть свой бизнес. Мы долго размышляли о том, что же это должен быть за бизнес, ведь, когда открываешь свое дело, в первую очередь важно, чтобы оно тебе приносило удовольствие, иначе все трудности ты просто не вытерпишь. В нашей семье в чести книги и кино, огромный шкаф в прихожей забит дисками с фильмами, которые Саша коллекционирует. Открывать магазин дисков нам показалось нецелесообразно, ведь уже сейчас большинство людей скачивают и смотрят фильмы в сети Интернет, носители отходят на второй план. Открывать маленький книжный магазин нам казалось нерентабельно, то есть открывать нужно бы было такой, который был был больше, лучше и интереснее уже имеющихся, а на это нужны большие средства. Мы задумались о комиксах. Это целая культура, которая пока слабо развита в России вообще и практически не развита в Воронеже. Мы сами очень любим комиксы и хотим, чтобы больше людей были с ними знакомы :)

Вы были уверены в успехе этого предприятия?

Нам хотелось делать что-то свое и интересное, и мы надеялись на то, что найдем свой отклик среди городской публики, а особенно перед открытием, когда оба были на нервах, жутко боялись, что в день открытия никто не придет. Родители не верили в эту затею. Какого же было наше удивление, когда перед открытием магазина у двери стояла очередь из желающих туда попасть! А затем та же очередь переместилась в кассу и заканчивалась за пределами магазина!

Где вы берете комиксы? Откуда знаете, что будет интересно публике?

Комиксы заказываем в основном у издателей, не только в России, но и зарубежом. В магазине представлены не только русскоязычные комиксы, но и, например, англоязычные. Еще мы общаемся с ребятами из Воронежского Комикс-Клуба и следим за их деятельностью и интересами. При знакомстве они произвели на нас исключительно прекрасное впечатление. В большинстве своем это интересные, читающие, умные, образованные ребята. Кроме того, очень воспитанные! Кстати, вспомнила интересный факт об открытии: после первого дня работы магазина нами была проведена мини-инвентаризация, и мы не досчитались всего одного комикса, при том, что у нас не было ни магнитных ворот, ни какой-либо системы контроля. Да и очередь в кассу, как я и говорила, заканчивалась уже за дверью магазина. Это всего лишь ещё раз доказывает порядочность любителей комиксов нашего города :)

Ну а теперь о семейном. Катя, ты недавно стала мамой. Как тебе удается сочетать роль матери совсем маленького еще малыша с такой активной творческой и рабочей деятельностью?

Помогают родители, они очень хотели внуков, помогает муж, в этом плане он большой молодец. Сейчас зимой работы меньше, но все равно мы встречаемся с клиентами, планируем свадьбы и праздники, подписываем контракты. Иногда я работаю дома, иногда иду в мастерскую, она находится очень близко к дому, что экономит время. Мне кажется, без работы в декрете я бы никогда не чувствовала себя полноценным человеком, и мне уж точно было бы очень скучно. Хоть ребенок – это чудо и каждый новый день с ним – счастье, мне необходимы встречи с людьми, друзьями, работа, прогулки. Он у меня замечательный, мы часто работаем вместе: он внимательно за мной следит, слушает, пытается помочь, размахивая ручками :)

And now let´s talk about another interesting project, comic book store "Delicacy comics". How did this idea occur?

My husband Sasha wanted to start his own business. We´d spent a lot of time thinking about what kind of a business it should be because it´s very important for your business to give you positive emotions and pleasure, otherwise you won´t bear all the difficulties. In our family we honor books and especially movies, at home a huge cupboard in the hallway is full of DVDs with movies, which Sasha collects. But opening a DVD store seemed unprofitable to us, nowadays almost everybody downloads movies on the internet, DVDs are going out of date. Opening a little book store did not convince us either, there are many of them in our city, so if we had decided to open one it should have been a big and better store than the ones that already exist. That´s why we thought about comics.It´s a whole culture which is not very well developed in Russia and less in Voronezh. We like comics ourselves and want more people to be familiar with them.

Were you sure about the success of this company?

We wanted to make something personal and interesting and hoped to receive a warm response from the clients. But especially before opening we were so nervous that couldn´t help but be scared to death that nobody would come on the opening day. Our parents were a little skeptical about the idea. So you can imagine how surprised we were when on that day, right before opening there was a huge queue of people who wanted to come in, which then  couldn´t even fit in, so some people had to wait out in the street!

Where do you get all the comics? How do you know what would interest the buyers?

We order comic books on the internet, not only in Russia but also from foreign countries. That´s why in our shop we don´t just offer Russian comics but also, for example, comics in English. We aslo keep in touch with the guys from Voronezh Comic Fan Club and follow their activities and interests. When we first met them they made a great impression on us, most of them are interesting, smart people who like to read and think. Besides, they are really educated! I recall one curious fact about the opening day. After the first working day we had an inventory check and there was only one comic book that was missing! And at that time we didn´t have magnetic gate or any other security system! It's just another proof of how decent the comic book fans are.

And now let´s move on to the family stuff. Katya, you recently became a mom. How do you manage to combine the role of the mother of such a little boy with full-time working and creative activities?

Our parents help a lot, my husband also does a great job with Stepka. Now in winter there is less work but anyway, we meet up with our clients, sign contracts, plan weddings and parties. Sometimes I work at home, sometimes I go to the workshop, it´s close to my home, which saves up a lot of time. I think that being on a maternity leave without any work I would not complete and would certainly be bored. Having a baby is a miracle and every new day with him is happiness but still, I need to meet up with people, with friends, to work and go out. He is amazing, we often work together: he watches and listens to me very attentively, tries to help waving his little hands:)

Food love: Cheesecake with berries on top for Valentine´s day

Эту рубрику я собиралась начать давно, но что-то все время не получалось. Либо блюдо не выходило так, как хотелось бы, либо фотографии меня не впечатляли, либо просто фотографировать было лень или некогда. Но сегодня я, кажется, готова. Для начала, поздравляю всех с праздником Святого Валентина! Многие его не празднуют, да и я никогда особо не отмечала, но тем не менее, этот день - еще одна причина вспомнить о близких людях и напомнить им о своей любви. Небольшой повод для чего-то, может не глобального, но особенного. В честь этого я сегодня решила испечь вот такой красный праздничный ягодный чизкейк и еще сделала маленькую открыточку. Для тех, кому захочется сделать что-то подобное, или что-то еще лучше, пишу рецепт. Сразу хочу отметить, что количество ингридиентов зависит от размера формы, в которой вы будете печь чизкейк.

Вам понадобится:

Песочное печенье (350 г.) (например, Юбилейное)
Корица
Маргарин
Сливочный мягкий сыр (например, Филадельфия) (около двух пачек)
Сахар
Ванильный сахар
3 яйца
Лимон
Сметана (около 200 г.)
Свежие (или замороженные) ягоды
Форма для выпечки со съемным дном

База из печенья
Разломать печенья и закинуть в блендер. Растопить 3 столовые ложки маргарина и влить в печенье. Туда же добавить одну чайную ложку корицы. Блендером измельчить до однородности. В форму постелить пергамент, края смазать маграрином. Высыпать печенье в форму и разровнять.
Сырная масса
Для приготовления сырной массы выложить в миску сыр, добавить туда около 150 г сахара. Взбить. Добавить половину столовой ложки ванильного сахара. Потереть цедру лимона и добавить в сыр. Взбить снова. Постепенно добавить три яйца, продолжая взбивать после добавления каждого из них. Вылить сырную массу в форму поверх печенья. Выровнять. (Оставить место сверху формы, т.к. чизкейк немного поднимется). Запекать в заранее разогретой духовке при 175 градусах в течение часа.
Сметанная заливка
Пока выпекается чизкейк приготовить сметанную заливку. Для этого взять около 200 г сметаны, добавить две столовые ложки сахара и половину ложки ванильного сахара и хорошо перемешать ложкой. Заливка готова.
Клубничный соус
Приготовить клубничный соус. Положить около 10 клубничек в блендер, добавить три ст.ложки сахара, одну чайную ложку воды, немного лимонного сока. Взбить до однородной массы.
По просшествии часа достать чизкейк из духовки, выложить сметанную заливку сверху и поставить в духовку снова на 5 минут при температуре 200 градусов.
Достать чизкейк, немного охладить, выложить половинки клубники по бокам, в центр налить немного клубничного соуса, сверху выложить остальные ягоды. Дождаться полного охлаждения (можно поставить в холодильник).

I've been planning to start this column for a while now, but something was always wrong. Or the food wasn't too good or the pictures didn't satisfy me or I just felt to lazy or in a rush to take pictures at all. But this time I guess I'm ready. First things first, Happy Valentine´s Day! Many people don´t celebrate it, I´d never actually done it in my life. However, this day gives us another chance to remember our nearest and dearest and let them know once again that we love them. A little occasion for something small but special. For that, I decided to bake this red festive cheesecake with berries and made this small card. For those who´ll want to make something similar or maybe something better I´m posting the recipe. And the first thing I´d like to mention is that the quantity of the ingredients depends on your cake pan.

You´ll need:

Cracker crumbs or cookies (350 g or so)
Cinnamon
Melted margarine (or butter)
Softened cream cheese (two packages or less)
Sugar
Vanilla sugar
3 eggs
Lemon
Sour cream
Berries (fresh or frozen)
Spring form pan

Crust
Mix cracker crumbs (or cookies), one small spoon of cinnamon and 3 large spoons of melted margarine or butter with a blender. Put baking paper in the bottom of a spring form pan, butter the sides of the pan. Put the cookie base in the bottom of the cake pan and gently press and smooth it.
Filling
Mix softened cream cheese with 150 g of sugar with a mixer. Then add half spoon of vanilla sugar, lemon peel and mix again. Add 3 eggs and keep mixing after adding each of them. Gently pour filling above the cookies and smooth. (Leave some space above the filling, as it might rise a little in the oven).
Pre-heat oven to 175 degrees. Bake for one hour.
Sour cream topping
While the cake is in the oven make the sour cream topping. Mix 200 g of sour cream with 2 spoons of sugar and half spoon of vanilla sugar.
Strawberry sauce
Make strawberry sauce. Blend 10 strawberries (or so), 3 spoons of sugar, one little spoon of water and a little bit of lemon juice.
After the cheesecake is ready, take out of the oven and gently top it with the sour cream topping. Put back in the oven heated to 200 degrees for 5 more minutes.
Take the cheesecake out, let it sit a little, then put strawberries as in the pictures, put a little bit of strawberry sauce in the middle and finish putting some other berries above. Let it cool, then refrigerate it for a while.

Tenía ganas de empezar esta columna de mi blog desde hace tiempo, pero no lo había hecho hasta ahora. O no me salía el plato tal como me lo esperaba, o las fotos no me convencían o simplemente tenía demasiada pereza o prisa como para hacer fotos. ¡Pero hoy creo que estoy preparada! Para empezar ¡os deseo a todos un feliz día de San Valentín! Mucha gente no lo celebra, yo, por ejemplo, no lo había hecho nunca pero de todas maneras este día es otra ocasión para recordar a nuestros seres queridos y decirles que les queremos. Una ocasión para preparar algo a lo mejor pequeño pero especial. Por eso yo decidí preparar esta tarta de queso roja, festiva con unas moras por encima y también hice esa pequeña tarjetina. Para los que quieran hacer algo parecido o algo mejor os dejo la receta. Antes de todo quería decir que la cantidad de ingredientes depende del tamaño de vuestro molde.

Necesitaréis:

Galletas de tipo María de cualquier marca (unos 350 gramos)
Canela
Margarina (o mantequilla)
Queso cremoso de untar (por ejemplo, Philadelphia) (2 cajitas o así)
Azúcar
Azúcar avanillado
3 huevos
Limón
Yogur griego (utilicé 2 cajas de Danone)
Moras (frescas o congeladas)
Molde de lados removibles

Base de galletas
Romper las galletas y meterlas en el cubo de la batidora. Añadir 3 cucharadas de margarina derretida y una cucharadita de canela. Triturarlo todo con la batidora. En el fondo del molde poner papel para hornear y engrasar los bordes del molde con margarina. Rellenar el fondo del molde con la mezcla de galletas.
Relleno de queso
Mezclamos en un bol el queso cremoso con 150 gramos de azúcar con la ayuda de una varilla. Echamos media cucharada de azúcar avanillado y rallamos un poco de piel de limón. Batimos otra vez. Añadimos 3 huevos, batiendo la mezcla después de añadir cada huevo. Echar la masa de queso por encima de la base de galletas. Suavizarla. (Os aconsejo que dejéis un poco de sitio por encima, ya que la tarta puede subir un poco en el horno). Meter el molde en el horno precalentado a 175 grados, dejarlo allí una hora.
Cobertura de yogur griego
Mientrás tanto hay que preparar la salsa de yogur griego que se utiliza para cubrir la tarta una vez hecha la última. Mezclamos bien (con una cuchara) dos cajas unos 200 gramos de yogur griego, 2 cucharadas de azúcar y media cucharada de azúcar avanillado. Hecho.
Salsa de fresas
Ahora preparamos la salsa de fresas. Cogemos unas cuantas fresas (10, por ejemplo) y las metemos en la batidora. Añadimos 3 cucharadas de azúcar, un poco de zumo de limón y una cucharadita de agua (muy poco).
Después de la hora transcurrida sacamos la tarta de queso del horno, la dejamos unos minutos y le echamos por encima la mezcla de yogur griego. Esparcimos por la superficie. Volvemos a meter la tarta en el horno por 5 minutos más con la temperatura de 200 grados.
Una vez hecha la tarta, la sacamos definitivamente del horno, la dejamos reposar un poco y ponemos las mitades de fresas (como en la imagen) por el borde. Echamos un poco de salsa de fresa por encima y al final ponemos otras moras en el medio. Dejamos que enfríe del todo. Ponemos en el frigorífico.

Personal: Black and white

Собиралась сделать полноценный аутфит пост в кои-то веки, но что бы вы думали? Пошел снег! Конечно, после поездки в Россию, этот снег меня уже не очень порадовал, мокрый, большими хлопьями, в нулевую температуру и промозглую погоду... Тем не менее, мы не стали сдаваться и вышли попытать счастья с фотографиями. В результате показываю вам совсем немного, и не совсем аутфит, но, надеюсь, фактурно :)

I was going to make a decent outfit post like I haven't done in a while but suddenly something weird happened. It started to snow! Of course, after my trip to Russia this kind of snow hasn't brought happiness to me, it's 0 degrees here, so being cold and wet is the only thing you get if you go out for a walk. Still, we didn't give up and went out to try and make some pics. As a result I'll show you just a couple of them and it's not actually an outfit post, but I hope you'll enjoy it :)

 Iba a hacer un outfit post decente como no he hecho en mucho tiempo pero de repente algo raro pasó, empezó a nevar! Por supuesto, después del viaje a Rusia este tipo de nieve no me alegró mucho la vida, estamos a cero grados y lo único que pasa al salir de casa es que te pones mojado y frío. Sin embargo, no nos rendimos y fuimos a probar suerte con las fotos. Como resultado os enseño solo un par y no es realmente un outfit post pero espero que a lo mejor os guste :)
